2010 Season Tryout Dates & Times

Things you need to bring: USA Volleyball registration (If not registered go to USAVolleyball) Knee pads, workout gear, good shoes and a positive attitude You can pre-register for try-outs at the clinic. Tryouts are scheduled for November 8th.

General Club Information

What to bring to tryouts

1. A copy of the player's birth certificate.
2. 2009 USAV Medical Release Form
3. Proof of USAV/NTR registration
4. Completed Select Set Volleyball Application
5. $50 tryout fee payable by cash, or check.

Important Information

All players must register with USA Volleyball / North Texas Region before trying out!

1. Tryouts will be held one day.
2. We recommend that you attend the pre-tryout clinic for your age group if possible.
3. We do understand, and encourage you to tryout for other clubs to find the one that best suits each person, however, attending all of our pre-tryout clinic and tryout will give our coaches more opportunities to see each athlete.
4. If a player is going to miss the scheduled tryout please notify us in advance.
5. Players trying out should wear t-shirt, shorts (or spandex), kneepads, socks and athletic court shoes. Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early on tryout day.
6. Cost: $50
7. Online pre-registration will be discontinued at 6:00pm the day before your tryout.
8. You will need to register in person on the day you tryout if you have not pre-registered.
9. A parent or legal guardian needs to accompany each prospective player to complete the tryout forms.
10. It is not necessary that parents or legal guardians stay for the actual tryout, however a seating area will be available should you decide to stay.
11. If you are in High School playoffs, it is the North Texas Region policy that you can not tryout until your school season is finished. However, you still need to come to the tryout and complete the necessary paperwork. We also would like the player to stay and watch the tryouts. If possible please notify us in advance and we will do our best to send a coach to your game to watch you play. If you have video footage from a game this season we will provide it to the coaches for them to watch.
12. If you are still in your Junior High/Middle School season you are allowed to tryout during your season. If our tryouts directly conflict with one of your 7th or 8th grade games, please let us know in advance so we can try to send a coach to watch one of your matches.

Age Definitions

12 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1997

13 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1996

14 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1995

15 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1994

16 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1993

17 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1992

18 & Under - Players who were born on or after September 1, 1991
OR born on or after September 1, 1990 and a high school student during some part of the current academic year.
